Starting in Spring Semester 2013 the CIS department will be offering a CIS Cooperative Education (Co-op) program. This program allows students to gain work experience while completing a degree program in Computer Science or Information Systems. Students can explore different career opportunities, try new areas of professional experience and develop and apply communication skills.
Starting with their sophomore year, participants in the Co-op program alternate between two semesters of classes and 6 months in a paid position with an IT organization. There are two starting points; students can choose to start with the work experience or the classes. At the end of the 5-year program students have earned a degree and have 18 months of realistic work experience.
